Starting and running a business like Rafistar requires more than just physical effort; it demands mental resilience and focus. I've been working so hard my arm hurt this week and I've noticed I'm thinking broader and wider on topics I've never thought about before which made me want to document some of those emotions.

1. Passion and Motivation

  • Passion: Love what you do. Passion drives you to put in the extra effort and overcome challenges and right now I love making jewellery.

  • Motivation: Keep your goals in mind. Remind yourself why you started and what you aim to achieve. I'm embracing new challenges whilst evolving my friendship.

Love what you do!!

2. Resilience and Perseverance

  • Resilience: Bounce back from setbacks. Understand that failures are part of the journey and learning process. I keep hitting blocker but dad says this is all part of being an entrepreneur.

  • Perseverance: Stay persistent. Success often requires sustained effort over a long period. I'm very persistent I just need more information or direction.

3. Time Management

  • Prioritization: Focus on what matters most. Use to-do lists and prioritize tasks that align with your goals.

  • Scheduling: Plan your day. Allocate specific times for different tasks and stick to your schedule. We met and task list our day every day.

4. Discipline and Focus

  • Discipline: Stick to your routines and commitments. Avoid procrastination by setting clear deadlines. WE are constantly getting distracted by retail shopping and research...

  • Focus: Concentrate on one task at a time. Limit distractions to maintain high levels of productivity. We keep trying to focus... we created 40 products today in one session.

Burning the midnight oil.

5. Stress Management

  • Mindfulness: Practice mindfulness or meditation to stay calm and centered, I usually take a break and eat an ice cream.

  • Breaks: Take regular breaks to avoid burnout. Short breaks can rejuvenate your mind and increase productivity. We are lucky enough to have a pool so I take a dip.

We have a fresh vegetable garden to distract us

6. Adaptability and Flexibility

  • Adaptability: Be open to change. Adapt your strategies based on feedback and new information. New product lines are fun.

  • Flexibility: Be willing to adjust your plans. Flexibility can help you navigate unforeseen challenges.

7. Self-Confidence

  • Belief in Yourself: Trust your abilities. Confidence in your skills and decisions can keep you moving forward.

  • Positive Affirmations: Use positive affirmations to build and maintain your self-confidence.

8. Continuous Learning

  • Learning Mindset: Stay curious and open to new information. Continually seek knowledge and skills that can improve your business.

  • Feedback: Accept and learn from feedback. Constructive criticism can provide valuable insights, also sales tell us whats popular.

9. Support Network

  • Mentorship: Seek guidance from experienced mentors. They can offer advice and support when needed.

  • Community: Surround yourself with supportive family, friends, and fellow entrepreneurs.

10. Goal Setting

  • Clear Goals: Set specific, achievable goals. Clear objectives provide direction and purpose. Includes planning and sketching out the way forward

  • Tracking Progress: Regularly review your progress towards your goals. Adjust your strategies as needed.

By cultivating my mental attributes and practices, I'm better equipped to handle the demands of starting and running your business, ensuring sustained effort and focus on achieving my goals.
